COT Atlas (“the service”) is operated by [business name — not yet registered], a sole trader registered in Slovenia. Written notices reach us at support@cotatlas.com. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means the person using the service.
Using the service means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.
COT Atlas restates the Commitments of Traders report published weekly by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, for 36 futures markets, and keeps the weekly history so each figure can be read against its own past.
It publishes information, not instructions to you. The data pages report what the CFTC published. The daily report sets out one trader’s own view of the market and the levels he works from, as a record of how he trades — it is written for every reader alike and takes no account of your objectives, your means or your experience, so it is not a personal recommendation to you. We are connected to no broker, place no orders, are not a licensed or regulated investment firm, and do not hold your money or your assets. Every trading decision, and every consequence of it, is yours alone. The Risk Disclaimer forms part of these terms and you should read it before subscribing.
You need an account to use the service, and you must be at least 18 years old to open one. Give a working email address, keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.
An account is for one person. Sharing credentials, reselling access, or letting several people use one subscription is a breach of these terms.
A free account shows the current week for all 36 markets. A Pro subscription adds the full weekly history, the per-market pages and the positioning dashboard. What each tier includes is described on the Plans page and may change as the service develops; if a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, section 7 applies.
We aim to publish each week’s figures shortly after the CFTC releases them, normally on Friday afternoon New York time. We do not promise a publication time, because we do not control the source.
Pro costs 9 € per month or 79 € per year at the launch price. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay, and it is the amount that binds — not any figure elsewhere on the site. A first subscription includes 30 days during which nothing is charged; your card is taken when you subscribe and charged when those days end, unless you cancel first. The free period is available once per account, so a subscription taken out again later does not include it. We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.
Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. We never see or store your card number. Stripe issues a receipt for each payment and you can download your invoices from the billing portal, reachable from your account at any time.
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason, from the billing portal. Cancelling stops the next payment; it does not end the period you have already paid for, and your Pro access continues to the end of that period.
Beyond the withdrawal right in section 8 and any refund the law otherwise requires, part-used periods are not refunded. If we cancel or suspend your subscription for a reason that is not your breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the period.
An existing subscription keeps the price it was created at for as long as it runs without interruption. That is a technical fact as much as a promise: a Stripe subscription holds its own price, and raising the published price changes what new subscribers pay and nothing else. Cancel and resubscribe later and you take the price in force at that time.
We may change these terms or what a plan includes. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change that increases your price or materially reduces what you get, and you may cancel before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the change. Changes required by law, and changes that do not disadvantage you, may take effect sooner.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union you have 14 days from the day your subscription starts to withdraw from it, without giving a reason. To withdraw, send a clear statement to support@cotatlas.com — an email saying you withdraw is enough.
Access begins at once. Subscribing gives you Pro access immediately, which means you are expressly asking us to begin performing the contract during the withdrawal period. If you then withdraw, you owe a proportionate amount for the part of the billing period in which you had access, and we refund the rest within 14 days using the same means of payment you used. You do not lose the right to withdraw by using the service.
The underlying CFTC figures are public and you are free to go to the source and use them. What you may not do is take them from us at scale or pass off our work as available for redistribution: no automated scraping or bulk downloading, no republishing or reselling the service’s pages or compiled history, no circumventing the paywall or sharing an account, no attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
Reading, printing and quoting figures for your own use, with attribution, is fine.
The Commitments of Traders data originates with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and is in the public domain. The CFTC does not endorse this service and has no involvement in it. The selection, arrangement, derived columns, wording and design of these pages are ours, and your subscription is a right to use the service — not a transfer of ownership in any of it.
We do not promise that the service will be available without interruption or free of error. It depends on the CFTC continuing to publish, and on hosting and database providers we do not control. We may take it down for maintenance, change how it works, or discontinue it. If we discontinue it altogether we refund the unused part of any paid period.
Figures are reproduced as the CFTC publishes them, including any revision the CFTC later makes, and are provided without warranty of accuracy, completeness or timeliness. Check against cftc.gov before relying on any single week.
We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected by anything in these terms.
Otherwise, and to the extent the law permits, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event, and we are not liable for trading losses, lost profit, lost opportunity or loss of data. We do not accept liability for decisions you take on the basis of what you read here — the service reports published data and does not tell you what to do with it.
You may close your account at any time by writing to support@cotatlas.com.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where payment fails and is not corrected. Where a breach is capable of being put right and is not serious, we will ask you to put it right first. On closure your access ends; section 12 and any payment already due survive.
Slovenian law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in the courts there.
Please write to support@cotatlas.com first — most complaints are quicker to fix directly. You may also refer a dispute to a competent out-of-court consumer dispute resolution body or to your national consumer protection authority. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform ceased operating in July 2025 and is no longer available.
